The most sustainable sketchbook is the one you fill cover to cover and keep for thirty years. We start there — then we give five percent of profit to put art in the hands of kids who need it.
Our watercolor and mixed-media stock is FSC-certified. All paper is acid-free and lignin-free, which is also why your work survives in it — longevity and sustainability are the same decision here.
The 13-stitch binding and all-weather cover exist so the book outlives the trip, the year, the decade. Durability is our first environmental claim — nothing here is disposable by design.
Swatches ship in a flat stamped envelope. Books ship in recyclable kraft with paper tape. We're working toward removing the last of the poly bags from the supply chain.
Art with Heart is a Seattle-based nonprofit that puts art-making into the hands of children navigating trauma, illness, and loss. Every year, five percent of our net profit goes to them — no qualifications, no asterisks, in good years and lean ones.
We do it because the thing that happens between a kid, a pencil, and a blank page is the whole reason this company exists. It felt wrong to sell that feeling without funding it for the children least likely to get it.
