Paper, shipping, the books themselves. If your question isn't here, ask us — we answer within 48 hours.
Every Leda sketchbook uses cream-toned 120 gsm (81 lb) acid-free, lightly toothed paper. It's built for fountain pen, pencil, ballpoint, brush pen, and light watercolor wash. For heavy watercolor or alcohol marker, reach for our watercolor or mixed-media pads instead.
With most fountain-pen inks, no bleed and minimal ghosting — that's the whole point of the 120 gsm cream stock. Very wet, saturated inks (think heavily flexed nibs or super-saturated boutique inks) may ghost faintly. The best way to know with your own pens is the $6 Paper Swatch Pack.
No — it's PU faux-leather. We chose it deliberately: better all-weather behavior, better aging, and we don't want to be in the leather supply chain.
Cream is easier on the eyes over long sessions and flatters graphite, ink, and warm palettes. If you work primarily in cool colors or need maximum contrast, our watercolor pads are bright white.
160 pages (80 sheets) in most formats. The 13-stitch sewn binding means it opens flat across the spread on day one — and keeps doing it after a year of daily use.
Buy the $6 Paper Swatch Pack, test the paper, then place your first order — we automatically credit $6 toward it. The test is effectively free if you buy a book.
